Part II of The Fellowship of the College of Ophthalmologists of South Africa - R 21800

Part II: 2 written papers; clinical and oral.

The JUSTIN VAN SELM MEDAL was endowed in 1991 by Prof van Selm, a Founder of the CMSA, and is awarded to outstanding candidates in the Fellowship examination of the College of Ophthalmologists of South Africa.

Reciprocity

Candidates from South African Universities who entered into their registrar training prior to 1 January 2011 and who have successfully completed their MMed Part I will be eligible to enter for the FC Ophth(SA) Intermediate (1B), thus allowing reciprocity with the MMed Part 1 for the next four (4) years.

Release of FC Ophth(SA) Final results

Please note that the results for the FC Ophth(SA) Final examination will be released on the published date as per candidates’ letter of acceptance into the examination. If they are available earlier, the C Ophth will endeavour to inform candidates earlier of the provisional results.

APPEALS

PLEASE NOTE that candidates that wish to lodge an appeal against the outcome of his/her written examination results must do so in accordance with the provisions of the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are not made available to candidates for review in accordance with the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy.
