Part II
- 42 months in a numbered registrar training post, at the time of applying for the examination.
- At least thirty-six (36) months of this period must have been spent in a Department of Microbiological Pathology.
- In addition, at least six (6) months must have been spent in an approved Medical Virology laboratory/department; this is outside the thirty-six (36) months period spent in the Department of Microbiological Pathology
PORTFOLIO:
From the second semester 2014 the submission of your Portfolio at the time of making your application is compulsory for all candidates who entered into their Registrar post from 1 January 2011.

The COULTER MEDAL was endowed in 1997 and is awarded to candidates who obtain excellent results in the Fellowship examination of the College of Pathologists of South Africa.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are not made available to candidates for review in accordance with the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy.
